The 2026 Orange County Canvassing Board will meet at the Office of the Supervisor of Elections, 119 W. Kaley Street, Orlando, FL 32806, on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. The members of the Canvassing Board are Judge Jeanette D. Bigney; Supervisor of Elections Karen Castor Dentel; and retired Chief Judge Frederick J. Lauten. The alternate members of the Canvassing Board are Judge Steve Jewett; Judge Brian F. Duckworth, and Camille M. Evans, Esq.
The Board will meet for orientation purposes including reviewing meeting dates, discussing procedures for canvassing ballots, and any other matter related to preparing for the following scheduled elections:
August 18, 2026, Primary Election
November 3, 2026, General Election
In accordance with Florida’s Sunshine Law, this meeting will be open to the public and minutes will be taken.
Note: Section 286.0105, Florida Statutes, states that if a person decides to appeal any decision made by a board, agency, or commission with respect to any matter considered at a meeting or hearing, he or she will need a record of the proceedings, and that, for such purpose, he or she may need to ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, which record includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal is to be based.
