The Florida Division of Elections generated a statistical report pulled from records in the Florida Voter Registration System, inaccurately indicating 239,147 Orange County voters had been removed in the month of January, when in fact the number is 877.

While the Orange County Supervisor of Elections office follows all state laws and rules for handling voter records, the state and county use different categories when generating their reports.

The Orange County report shows 3,849 removals for the month of January. The county-level report includes voters that have moved out of Orange County, but are still within the state of Florida.

The state report shows 877 removals for the month of January. The state level report does not include voters that have moved out of Orange County but are still within the state. The state will be posting an updated report early next week.

All Orange County voters can check their voter status by going to Check My Info on our website or by calling our office at (407) 836-VOTE.
